Information You Provide
Search terms entered in the search forms are sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Franklin Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those queries on its own servers. When you contact us, we receive the details in your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Information
Like most hosted services, the site may generate ordinary server-log information such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access. We use aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or related tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements to the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor dossiers from log data.
Outside Links
Links may lead to Franklin, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, library, archive, court, and other external resources. Each destination controls its own collection and use of information. Its privacy terms, rather than this policy, apply to information submitted there, including information sent through sponsored results.
Service Providers
Hosting and support providers may process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, but not for unrelated purposes.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the purposes described here. There are no site accounts, passwords, or saved user profiles to protect. Massachusetts security safeguards in 201 CMR 17.00 provide relevant standards for protecting personal information.
Visitors Under 18
Franklin Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that this service keeps about you. Because we retain very little, a request will normally involve a review of the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to make the request. No enacted comprehensive Massachusetts consumer privacy statute was identified in the official research as of August 25, 2026; pending proposals are not described here as law.
Public records held by Franklin, Norfolk County, or Massachusetts custodians are outside our control. Requests for those records belong with the custodian. For covered municipal and executive records, Massachusetts Public Records Law, Mass. Gen. Laws ch.66 ยงยง6A, 7, 10, and 10A, provides the request framework, subject to exemptions and record-specific limits.
